Optimizing the Brain: My Top Three Favorite Nootropic Peptides

Hi, it’s Dr. Jeffrey Mark. Today I’d like to talk about 3 of my favorite peptides to improve brain health and processing power. These peptides are called nootropics. Please see my previous blogs on peptides and nootropics for a general overview. Please see the link here and below. In a nutshell, nootropic peptides are the highly functional parts of proteins used to communicate to the cells in our body to improve many functions including processing speed, healing, and decreasing inflammation. In addition, peptides have little to no side effects and the selected peptides mentioned below are exceptionally safe to use. For the proper selection of safe peptides please the nootropic blog.

Here is condensed list of my top 3 favorite nootropic peptides.

  1. Dihexa. This peptide has been shown in studies to be potential treatment for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. It signals the neurons in the brain to repair the brain synapses, alters genetic expression and increasing receptor sensitivity. You get restored brain function and your mind gets clear. Early studies show Dihexa helps regain function with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) from head and neck injuries
  2. Semax. This peptide is a memory booster which aides in optimal learning. It increases Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) which can help with depressive emotions and eases anxiety. This is accomplished by altering the expression of certain genes and changing the response of the immune system. This alternation of the immune response allows Semax to function to protect the brain and also repair the brain especially after traumatic events like a stroke, Parkinson’s or other neurologic disorders.  Semax works well on its own but is even better in various combinations with other nootropics. It is specially compounded by a 503B compounding pharmacy as an intranasal spray.
  3. Selank. Selank directly signals cells involved with GABA neurotransmitters which makes it useful for treating generalized anxiety disorder. It also increases BDNF and may also be helpful in neurodegenerative disorders. It can take a few days to start working and is specially compounded by a 503B compounding pharmacy as an intranasal spray.

Where can you get these nootropics? Dihexa, Semax, Selank, and other nootropics have been part of our personalized AFH comprehensive regenerative medicine programs. A complete medical evaluation is recommended and these nootropics should be compounded from a FDA approved 503 B compounding pharmacy to assure its purity, efficacy and safety.
